The M645 manual recommends (in several places) that in order to avoid electrical shock: if one is using a flash connected via the hot shoe on top of the finder, then one should put a PC Sync Socket Cover on the PC sync socket;

I am thinking about getting a medium format camera but I really rely on my right angle viewfinder thats on my nikon. Do they make right angle viewfinders for medium format cameras? Thanks.

Harrumph, Just got my Mamiya 7II back from Mamiya America Corp.'s repair service. The little plastic fold-out knob that winds the blackout curtain split and fell off. They put on a new one.

Total newbie to medium format, with a newly-acquired used Mamiya m645 (J?). Apparently it has cassettes or cartridge that allow it to take "120" or "220" format. But ... How are they different? Are not the images the same dimensions?

Does anyone know of a TLR with a continuously variable shutter speed? In other words the shutter will produced speeds in between the standard ones i.e. 1/60, 1/125, etc.? Thanks,

Seem to have reasonble success with a polarizer by having two. Thought I might try holding a graduated filter in front of the viewing lens for composing the image and then try to hold it in the same place infront the taking lens when I take the shot.
