Nikon and Canon could learn a lot from Apple!30 Jun 2007 16:51 GMT24
At least from a manufacturing and supple standpoint!  To prevent supply and
demand problems Apple has refused to release the iPhone till they had enough
in stock (3-million units) to meet high customer demand.  Now if Nikon and
Canon would take the effort to follow this business ...
Nikon Speedlight SB-600 vs SB-80030 Jun 2007 08:44 GMT17
I am planning to purchase a Speedlight for use with my Nikon D-80.
Any thoughts or comments on the SB-600 versus the SB-800?  Is the SB-800
worth the extra $125 or so?
Thanks
Nikon 18-135mm AF-S DX Lens Question30 Jun 2007 02:38 GMT4
I am considering buying a Nikon D40x with the the 18-135 AF-S DX Lens.
My local store only has the 18-55mm lens, so I have not seen the longer
lens.
My question...
Sadly it's time to move on30 Jun 2007 02:37 GMT27
I have been a happy RawShooter Premium user but it doesn't support my new
Canon Rebel XTi so it is with great regrets I will be moving on to something
else, probably Lightroom for which I have found a crack for.  I will lose no
sleep about using it free of charge since it is a ...
Are there any firmware tweaks available?30 Jun 2007 00:21 GMT2
I need one to make my Olympus E500
automatically fire off a 7-sequence
focus-bracketing sequence, without me having
to press the shutter or use the fiddly little
Canon wide-angle prime lens suggestion29 Jun 2007 10:47 GMT4
I'm looking for wide-angle prime, and Canon has more lenses in that
category than I'd like... too hard to choose especially considering
conflicting reviews. I dont have the cashish to go for 24mm f/1.4L so
would like to hear opinions on what's the next best thing (read: next
exposure for lightning?28 Jun 2007 22:31 GMT3
With the lightning storms expected this afternoon, I'm going to try
to take some daytime pictures of lightning.  Does anyone have any
advice on exposure?  The lightning is visible during the day, so my
guess is that no special exposure is necessary, but last night I tried
Dust = non-issue28 Jun 2007 17:44 GMT28
I've had my Rebel XT since it came out and I use it in very dusty
conditions:

DSLR systems that can't use old lenses28 Jun 2007 05:02 GMT12
I can understand a physical change that would make them incompatible,
but not being able to use legacy lenses because the brainless new
camera can't meter is really not acceptable.
Canon 1D Mark III RECEIVED28 Jun 2007 04:52 GMT16
Although B&H Photo for once can't get its act together and is now saying it
anticipates delivery in June, and is very annoyed when you call to ask them
when they might be able to sell you a $4,499 body, I am happy to report that
my local camera shop received 4 on Friday.  Now, ...
Why to shoot RAW28 Jun 2007 03:04 GMT5
Here is one example why shooting RAW is
beneficial. I shot this picture at a baseball game
in the evening after a storm. I forgot I was in
manual mode and it was over exposed by about 1.5
D200 compressed RAW comparison.28 Jun 2007 02:25 GMT13
As you may know, the D200 gives the option to shoot uncompressed RAW
files which I had not bothered with as the files are much bigger but I
did a test and I've changed my mind:

Recovering Noisy Slide Scan28 Jun 2007 01:44 GMT15

picture with blown highlights.  See
