Nikon D70s pricing01 Sep 2005 00:03 GMT4
Is it me, or is there something wrong with this picture? A brand new D70s
for $429 USD??

Has anyone ever heard of this place? After a little searching, I think they

Has anyone actually ever bought one of these cameras and used it? I just
saw one selling for a very low price.

Question about Nikon and reviews31 Aug 2005 17:48 GMT5
Some reviewers criticize the Nikon's for not having a
100 ISO setting, they start at 200.  This is supposedly
because Nikon sensors in the cameras that feature this
are more sensitive so that a Nikon at f4 and 1/250 of a
Nikon D70 + Tokina 12-2431 Aug 2005 05:04 GMT17
Is this lens incompatible with the built in flash? I keep getting a
shadowy half moon at the bottom of the picture.
Contrast range and Nikanon or Canikon debate31 Aug 2005 03:38 GMT5
From a Photographers point of view, a camera is just a tool. The
sharper the chisel, the neater the cut, so to speak. PhotoShop is the
workbench we put our images on to craft them after we harvest the raw
materials.
Brit mag rates E-1 and 1DsMk 2 as best cameras31 Aug 2005 03:22 GMT18
Amateur Photographer rated them according to various
things, but what it came down to was image quality
with the 1DsMk2 and E-1 coming closest to good film
compared to the other 10 DSLRs on test.  Egonomics, etc,

Digital SLR Focusing Screens31 Aug 2005 00:31 GMT18
A recent conversation with Bill Maxwell reveals that the hot new thing is
focusing screens for DSLRs.  Apparently the more affordable DSLRs are
cutting corners with their screens/prisms, so that a demand for
brighter-more highly magnified screens are now in demand.  I know this is
Where to sign framed photos30 Aug 2005 13:30 GMT13
Where is the best place to sign framed photos?  I would think the place
would be on the matte, but recently I saw a photo that was mounted to a
board, and the matte was made larger than the mounted photo.  The photo was
signed inside the matte on the mounting board (between the ...
RAW files in XP30 Aug 2005 10:43 GMT2
Hi guys & girls,
does anyone know how to get RAW thumb nails to display in windows XP file
view? All I get is the standard CR2 icon, yet one of my mates can display
the actual photo contained within the CR2 file...I have asked him how & he
Raw plugin30 Aug 2005 07:56 GMT20
Why doesn't Photoshop CS have a raw plugin for the Digital Rebel XT?
I think it sucks that you have to upgrade to a newer version of
Photoshop to get it. Is Adobe owned by Bill Gates? This sounds like
something he would do.
Sigma "DC" 18mm F3.5 - 200mm 6.3 on my Pentax *ist D30 Aug 2005 06:35 GMT12
Perhaps more of a technical question but here it goes.
Bought a new lens (see subject line) made specifically for my type of DSLR.
I love the range because I'm going on a trip and the wide range will
minimize the swapping of lens and I can use a smaller camera bag.  I've been
canon angle finder30 Aug 2005 04:32 GMT8
In doing a search for a Canon angle finder for my Canon D60 (EOS) camera, I
came across a few Chinese clones of the Canon brand, for about half the
price of the Canon branded unit.
Have any of you ever purchased a Chinese clone of this angle finder?  If so,
megapixels and sensor size30 Aug 2005 03:26 GMT14
Since it looks like Canon is coming out with a full 35mm frame sensor,
and it's about 6mp, would that be the equivalent to the current sensor
size but with 3mp?
I would think for the same density of megapixels in the larger frame,
10.5 f2.8 & correcting software29 Aug 2005 14:50 GMT6
Anyone using Nikon's 10.5 f2.8 lens with the correcting software?
Everything I've seen on the lense is based around a composition closeup
of a building, motorcycle etc. which is then corrected with the
software.  What you're left with is a shot you could've taken with a 50
