Kodabrome III RC01 Jul 2006 00:08 GMT5
I was wondering what kind of developer I could use with this, ofcourse
they list Kodak developers , but could I use Arista, etc? Also, it's
graded paper, I've only used RC and I'm having trouble finding out the
difference. I think F3 is for low-contrast negatives, so would this be
Omega B2230 Jun 2006 18:33 GMT8
Hi everyone, I just purchased an Omega B22 enlarger at a garage sale.
Amazingly, everything (lens, bellows, condenser, lamphouse, etc...) is
in great condition. I plugged it in and the bulb still worked as well.
Anyways, it is missing a few small pieces like the negative carrier and
Does B&W bleach affect color emulsion?29 Jun 2006 11:04 GMT2
I'm wondering whether anyone knows if B&W bleach such as R-9
dichromate/sulfuric acid bleach or alternately permanganate/sulfuric
acid bleach used in conjunction with a conventional sodium sulphite
clearing bath has any effect on color emulsion?
Disassembly of Kodak Enlarging Ektar - feasible?29 Jun 2006 03:08 GMT2
I just got hold of a 90mm f/4.5 Enlarging Ektar with a bit of internal
dust, a few flakes of something on the edges of two aperture blades,
and maybe the beginning of a bit of fungus at the edges.  Is it
feasible for me to attemp to disassemble and clean it?  I would
Re: The end of an era...28 Jun 2006 15:02 GMT2
I wrote a comparison between old Tech Pan rolls and new ones. Whoever of you who has been using tech pan rolls might be interested in reading it

6x7 filing & contact sheet28 Jun 2006 04:14 GMT12
How do you file & contact a roll of 120 6x7 negs? If you cut up a 6x7 120
roll into 3 strips x 3 negs it fits perfectly into a filing sheet and 8x10
for contacts. And then there's that pesky 10th neg left over. What to do?
Usually there's at least 1 dog on a roll you can tell ...

Metallic Paper27 Jun 2006 04:10 GMT4
Kodak markets a color RA4 metallic paper that I like. Does anyone market
a b/w version of that paper?  If not, is there a chemical I can use to
tone b/w paper to appear metallic?
Placement of diffusion glass in enlarger23 Jun 2006 22:47 GMT3
I want to diffuse the light in my Omega D2 enlarger.  What is the best
placement of the diffusion glass, above the condensers or below, just
above the neg. holder?
Thank you for any information.
Looking for grainless plastic sheet22 Jun 2006 20:53 GMT14
I'm looking for thin (ideally .010 or even thinner) plastic sheeting
that's semi opaque/translucent - sort of like "milk jug" color, or
maybe tending toward white - but with very little or ideally NO visible
grain or striations, a completely even looking color/texture.
Print Time too long ?22 Jun 2006 17:25 GMT30

blank negative, i want to see how many seconds of exposure i at lest
need to get the papaer's maximum black exposure.  but, even i exposed
