why can't I use rechargeable batteries?31 Oct 2007 09:30 GMT25
got a Nikon L6 that I've had for a year or two, although I had this same
problem with my previous two digicams.  I seem to only be able to get
good performance with non-rechargeable batteries (currently using
Energizer E2 lithium which actually seem to have decent life) if I use
Easy great panoramans with free Hugin 0.7 beta 431 Oct 2007 07:26 GMT6
Hugin 0.7 beta 4 (http://hugin.sourceforge.net/) is quite stable and has
a new Assistant (Wizard) tab that automates most common panoramas into a
simple 3-step process (that can still be refined as desired). For best
Hugin results:

Canon DSLR White Papers31 Oct 2007 03:31 GMT1
I have seen mention at various places on the web of a Canon White paper on
the 1Ds Mark III - I have seen references to things like page 56 so it seems
to be a significant document and I have seen references to white papers on
previous canon cameras.

WTF more NASA Photo Problems?30 Oct 2007 18:27 GMT3
Again I'm watching real-time NASA TV while they try to photograph the 'good'
SARG. This time it appears the flash unit on the DSLR wasn't working. He
even pointed the flash unit right into his face and could see no flash.
Life is a bitch with a DSLR in space!
DSLR v. 35mm SLR Question30 Oct 2007 18:22 GMT26
I've had a COSINA 35mm SLR for about ten years and IMHO it takes great
pics. I regularly enlarge to A3 and this cam cuts it exceedingly well.
So what would I have to spend to get the same quality from a digital
SLR? Are digital SLRs as good as 35mm SLRs? Or is that some way off?

Two DSLR's fail on a single spacewalk?
What kind of crappy hardware you got there?
Should have stuck a little P&S in a pocket as a backup.
