I need a new camera for my workplace.  It's been years since I've bought
a camera, so I'm not up to speed, yet I need this in the next few days.
Estimated budget was $300, but I can stretch it.
Output needs to be good enough for (occasional) publication in a glossy

I want to get my wife a dedicated photo printer that she can plug her
digital camera into (she has a Canon Ixus 5.5 mpixel), and ideally
any digital infrared shooters? sony31 Aug 2006 14:14 GMT4
i have a DSC-V3 and notice that if you set it to "night shot" mode, you are
in effect, removing the ir blocker in the camera. of course it's way too
bright to get a pic like that in daylight, but i do have an old wratter 87
filter that i put in front of the lens and it works.. ...

who is this supposed to help....me or the printer? if there's one thing
i've learned over the years dealing with printers, it's that no one
gets it right. i've given them 4x5's with kodak color bars/grey scale.

DSLR choices??  help please31 Aug 2006 08:55 GMT38
So I'm in the market now for a DSLR and I jsut don't know what to do.  We're
definately getting either a Canon or a Nikon.  We were looking at the D70s
and the 20D primarily.  Then Nikon goes and announces the D80 and Canon
stops making the 20D so that kinda threw us for a loop ...

I've been restoring and saving family
photos on CD-R disks.  Would a flash
drive preserve them longer?
