Stock photo advice needed29 Sep 2008 01:53 GMT13
Over the last few months I've conributed to a stock photo agency. Recently
one of my pics sold but the agency are refusing to tell me who bought it.
What I want to know is, is this standard practice i.e. for agencies to
withhold detail.
digital video camcorder28 Sep 2008 08:27 GMT2
Sorry if this isn't the correct group to post this to, but I didn't
see a better match.  I do need help though.
I just found out tonight that I need to purchase a digital video
camera by XMas eve.  Just for ordinary everday uses.  With just a
recommendations for night and landscape photography?27 Sep 2008 13:03 GMT26
I currently own a refurb Nikon D50 with one standard mid-range zoom
and one longer-ranger zoom. I got it cheap off eBay a year or so ago
to explore photography and see what I like to shoot, so that I can
know what I need when the time comes to upgrade.
Slide scanning using HP Photosmart C718027 Sep 2008 08:06 GMT3
I have a HP Photosmart C7180 All-in-One running on Windows XP. With
this unit I can scan four slides at a time. However, using the drivers
that came with the unit, there is no way to control output size and
there is no prescan, so there is no way to make color or brightness

How to waterproof Canon G7?21 Sep 2008 22:46 GMT11
I'm going whitewater rafting.  The real thing to waterproof Canon G7
is this Canon DP-WC11 at $150 http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000JIOG5I
.  Since I hardly ever take any picture below the water, I want to
skip that and go the cheap route.  Has anyone tried any other thing to

Long exposures at night with people16 Sep 2008 14:21 GMT3
First of all, I am not a pro, just a hobbyist who was trying this for
the first time. Recently my wife and I were on vacation and I was
trying to get a photo of us at dusk off a balcony. The sun had gone
down and it was just before the sky went completely dark. I setup the
Sigma 150-500, Sigma 50-500 or Tamron 200-500 ?16 Sep 2008 12:15 GMT16
I'm trying to decide between the Sigma 150-500, the Sigma 50-500 (Bigma) and
Tamron 200-500. Any ideas about which I should go for. I have a Nikon D300,
a Sigma 10-20, Nikon 18-200 and Sigma 600 Mirror/Reflex already.
Cheers,
Nikon D200 and Fuji S5 megapixel count16 Sep 2008 09:21 GMT13
I've been looking at these two cameras, but I'm seriously confused.
From what I can see, the D200 is an 8megapixel body, and the S5 is a 12.34
megapixel body.
All makes sense to me so far.
on-line sources for selling digital photos?15 Sep 2008 14:57 GMT8
I recently lost my full time job and I am seeking to sell some of my digital
photos.  I was initially told about a firm called Photographersdirect.com,
but when I look at their requirements, I doubt that most of my images would
meet them (especially the size requirement).  While ...
