Blown highlights @ 50 ISO31 Aug 2008 16:24 GMT29
I am using a Canon 1ds and noticed that in some pictures that were taken
yesterday in overcast conditions that the highlights were blown even though
the histogram was fine, this only occurred at 50 ISO (L), when set to 100 it
was fine. Strange and unsettling, maybe a software glitch ...

Lenses28 Aug 2008 04:26 GMT6
i'm going to US for vacation by august end. Considering I'd like to
enlarge my lenses set for my D80 with a 10-20mm sigma and maybe with a
70-300mm (still don't know which, but low profile) would you suggest
to buy sigma/nikon lenses in hawaii or california? And where?
raw images on CD to model?27 Aug 2008 18:13 GMT3
What do model photographers here do regarding giving photoshoot images
to models? When I started, I gave TFP (TFCD) models a CD/DVD of all
the photoshoot image, but with perhaps 1% of pixels shaved off from
the edges (so I could always prove I shot the originals in case a

Wedding Pictures26 Aug 2008 00:47 GMT65
I have a question I hope you can help me with. I was looking at a
webpage of wedding pictures and the photographer used an ISO setting
of 800 and up with and without flash. All the pictures were taken
inside the church and were beautiful.
Standard Lens- High Pressure25 Aug 2008 22:48 GMT20
I recently needed to give myself some pressure because I am getting a bit
bored so I went on a job with 1 lens, a 50mm 1.4. It was great, the quality
and colour is noticeably punchier than a 24-70 and the bokeh (out of focus
elements) is really nice. It's great for portraits and ...
Light Meters25 Aug 2008 22:24 GMT69
Hi. New here.
Do light meters have any value to a digital only photographer? All of my
cameras are TTL and recently I was given a rather elaborate light meter
with Flash, Ambient and a few other features. I have always been happy

A better way to transfer my images?24 Aug 2008 22:03 GMT10
When I have several hundred images on my memory card (in my camera) it takes
quite some time and may place a burden on my battery when I transfer all
these images to my hard drive.
Is there a better way of doing this?
