I would like to share my photographs of many trips to foreign lands with my

I have tried JAlbum, it seems to work OK but I cannot get it to display full

I have a negative scanner with optical scan 150 dpi - 3600 dpi (Epson V100)
I want to scan all my old negatives & slides mainly to put on DVD/TV - but
good enough to print a few out as and when i want
I started scanning a few in at 1200 which takes forever

Probably a stupid question
I use a Canon A 590is. Am using a 256 MB SD memory card. Will it have an
adverse effect if I use a 2 GB memory card, instead? Will the larger memory
card slow things down? Do things get lost on such a large card?

I have a Canon S1 is and have only used it a few times so I am a complete
novice. I am going to be going to a concert and would like to be able to get
some good pictures.  what would be the best settings for the conditions that

Someone gave me a heavy metal plate that measures 6 1/2 x 8 1/2 inches.  The
plate is not fragile.  The top surface is silverish and has an image of a
man on it and below it is written his name but backwards.  The image
