Airport scanning machines21 Jun 2008 17:56 GMT22
I'm travelling by air in the next few days, and I'll be needing to take most
of my camera gear with me.
Obviously, I'll be taking it on the plane as hand luggage, but the camera
bag will still have to go through that big xray scanning conveyor belt
Best photo printer?19 Jun 2008 18:41 GMT16
I'm not trying to start the next world war, honestly.
But it's time for me to buy a good dedicated photo printer.  8 x 10 for
certain, maybe 11 x 14.  Long lasting inks.
Reasonable ink costs would be appreciated.

The Cannon Powershot G9,  which seems to do everything I want,  although I'm
Flash for Sony Alpha 10018 Jun 2008 02:12 GMT3
Anyone have any suggestions for an inexpensive flash unit for a Sony
alpha 100? Yes, I know it has a builtin (or rather a flip-up) flash, but
I need something a bit stronger for distance shots. I have a flash
from a previous Minolta (Vivitar 550FD) but it has a different type ...
Annotations17 Jun 2008 17:25 GMT6
Does anyone know how to add annotations (comments) to an image, without
modifying the image itself? If I put the comment directly in the image, it
cannot be reversed.

What's wrong with this photo?15 Jun 2008 21:30 GMT14
Before I read about the shutter speed having to be 1/mm size or faster, I
remembered the old rule my father taught me of no slower than 1/60 without
a flash.  In fact, on his Spotmatic, that was speed was in green lettering.
So, I offer this photo:
