At the moment I am currently using a Nikon D100, I am looking to upgrade
would love a D3 however they are a bit out of my price range at the moment,
so I was looking at a D300. I would love some opinions on the D300, or some
advice on another suitable camera. I primarily take ...

Shooting BW Film05 May 2008 16:04 GMT23
I have an old Russian rangefinder to play with (a Zorki 4K) and have
some Ilford FP4 Plus 125 film to use. One thing I don't have is a light
meter, so if anyone can offer tips/advice/links on getting close to
decent exposure without a lightmeter I'd be glad to hear (read!) it.
B&H in NYC to England - OK???05 May 2008 15:32 GMT16
I'm thinking of using B&H in New York, looking to buy $1600 worth of
camera lenses. Even wioth shipping (but without import duty) I'll be
saving around six hundred POUNDS but the quaestion is, is it worthwhile
using a dealer on the other side of the Atlantic??? I've had lots of ...
Do all Canon FD lenses fit the A1?05 May 2008 00:50 GMT6
I am trying to buy a lens for my old Canon A1 and not sure if I can just buy
any Canon FD lens. Could someone confirm, will any Canon FD lens fit my
Canon A1? I was about to buy a Canon 50mm f1.4 FD lens from ebay, but the
seller seems to think it could be a different fitting.
AE Bracketing?04 May 2008 01:19 GMT9
I have a problem with bracketing on both of my cameras, Canon EOS 10D and
EOS 300D.
I am new to this area of photography and might be doing something wrong, but
what?

99 cameras03 May 2008 17:22 GMT4
A while back a fellow announced that he was mailing 99 disposable cameras
out around the world.  Each recipient was to take a few frames and send the
camera on until it was exhausted, then send it back.
Mine arrived today from Italy!  I wish I could see what was already on it.
Cancelled commission03 May 2008 04:00 GMT17
I've just had a client cancel a commission to take images of a building
during its construction. I have written instructions from the client to
take photos for them and had already spent an hour or so at the site
taking some preliminary shots.

film and also do digital scanning of the slides. Any recommendations
would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Konica-Minolta Dynax 7D01 May 2008 21:05 GMT3
I shoot with a Canon EOS 10D, which I love very much, but lately looked at
some shots taken with the Konica-Minolta Dynax 7D and find them very
different to my own shots. The colours in the KM 7D seem much warmer and the
shots have a character and tone about them which is almost ...
Interesting link - Canon lens plant virtual tour01 May 2008 13:16 GMT1
I found an interesting link - it is a virtual tour of a Canon lens factory:

to the Flamers and jerks who have no life01 May 2008 09:04 GMT26
Why are you even in here? Have you nothing better to do? If you want
to be so critical try alt.flame. After searching your names I can see
that most of you are internet trolls and flamers who post in several
groups and its the same rhetoric.  You flame every one and anyone.
