Good alternatives to the Canon 40D and 70-300 lens23 Mar 2008 14:03 GMT14
I got interested in photography about 9 months ago so bought a Canon S3is as
it would give me a lot more control over the learning process than a P&S

of going for either a Canon 400D as the cheap option from ...

I am stressing over what camera to buy, any help appreciated. I
already own a Canon EOS 10D 6mp digital SLR, with a nice zoom
telephone lens. But I want to upgrade to a higher megapixel camera, I
feel my 10D is outdated. I have taken many nice photos with it, but I
Old Yellow20 Mar 2008 23:04 GMT32
Tonight I was going through some boxes of slides, prints and negs (oh, and
some 8mm and Super8, as well) from my parents' home (they passed away
eight years ago), and among the stuff I found were three (possibly four)
unshot rolls of film, still boxed.  Two are in unopened boxes.

I don't think I've seen this mentioned here, so thought I would point it
out for others.  I have absolutely no connection to these guys, nor do I
profit in any way.  I am simply very impressed with their work to date.

[PHOTO]  Lightning storm over the ocean17 Mar 2008 16:54 GMT29
I got home from dinner last night as the last of a storm was hitting. I
could still see it raging over the ocean.
Took off with my tripod, camera and cable release.
I only got one decent shot as the cable release was acting up and not
