Does anyone use this feature on their camera?  I'm going to fool with mine,
and just see what it will do.  I used to have a black and white darkroom
that was quite substantial.  I imagine I could do a lot of the same thing
with the photo editing suites.  Except maybe vignetting ...

I am in the process of buying a new camera, upgrading from a PS 3.1 MP to ??
Can someone tell me what the difference is between a digital P&S camera as
opposed to a dslr camera? Is it the optics, the weight, the sensor, the
size?

Yes my Camera some 5 years old has the CCD Fault, I did ring Sony many years ago here regarding the
faulty CCD's, but here in NZ they were at a total loose as then new nothing about it, but I did ask
them if it failed later will it be replaced and they seem to think so.

I have a Canon compact digital camera.  I chose Canon partly because I
insist on having an optical viewfinder.
The problem is that my eyes do not focus closer than about 30 inches
(although I can focus up to infinity).

Yesterday afternoon, I took a different route to get up on the freeway in
Las Vegas.  Next to Nellis AFB, there were three photographers taking
pictures.  What I'm going to describe was a fast view from driving by at 55

(off topic, but on)
I need to scan some photos and convert them to dxf files.  I have been
steered to Corel Draw 12.  I want to enter them into a CNC robotic plasma
cutter, and that needs a dxf file that it can convert.  Has anyone had any
