The Latest Panasonic Catalog dated 2007/2008  list 2  Protector   Filters  for the FZ8,  one the
DMW-LMC55  But Requires the  Adapter  DMW-LA2,    But the other DMW-LMC52  is not flagged for it..
A web site that lists the DMW-LMC52  stated that you use the included Adapter..?

Lens hood Filter  arrangements
1. you have to buy a Adapter to fit a Filter.?
2. Lens hood can't be used with a Filter..??
3. Lend Cap can't fit on the Filter. ??

I am just starting to look into digital cameras.
My film SLR is a Contax so there is no real upgrade path for me. I figure
I will need all new lenses. (Most of my lenses were yashica with a couple
zeiss)

Just to confirm that what I read back on Oct 2005 Sony had a list of Serial No and my camera was on
that list

Anyone else exploring the IR world with a Rebel XT or other DSLR?
I dabbled with Kodak BW IR film as a teenager many years ago, but never
really got into it due to many issues that led me to lose the drive and eye
for not only the IR but visible light as well.
