So my old Canon Powershot SD110 back up digital camera started taking
purple/black/distorted images a few weeks ago. I did some research

doesn't matter too much what digital camera I have.  (If it does
matter, I will find out what the model is.)
This one is iirc 7.1 megapixel and the lens is 10:1 zoom.

I have just bought a Mamiya C330 of Ebay. I want to print the colour
photographs & have them scanned so I can modify them using Photoshop, is it
best to use colour negative film or transparency for best results.

I'm looking to get my first digital SLR.  I've taken photography
classes for 3 years (in high school) and I've worked with film SLRs
