Talking with a friend at lunch today and I was told a story about a friend
of a friend who had made copies of portraits photographed and printed by

I just bought a Fujica S5700, I think it is, but I think my question
doesn't matter too much what digital camera I have.  (If it does

This one is iirc 7.1 megapixel and the lens is 10:1 zoom.

I have just bought a Mamiya C330 of Ebay. I want to print the colour
photographs & have them scanned so I can modify them using Photoshop, is it
best to use colour negative film or transparency for best results.

I'm looking to get my first digital SLR.  I've taken photography
classes for 3 years (in high school) and I've worked with film SLRs
before.  I kind of know what I'm doing, but I still have a lot more to
learn.  I think I'm mostly going to shoot sports and action photos,
