3-d photography21 Dec 2007 13:21 GMT13
Some time ago, I used to buy 3-D cameras that were one time use cameras.  I
got a few great pictures.  Then the cameras disappeared.  Is there anything
like that still around?  Is there a way to simulate a 3-d image with a
digital camera (my latest toy)?   Especially since even the ...

Is there a name for the effect of objects that are normally glossy
being flatter when viewed from a distance?

2nd hand DSLR's17 Dec 2007 19:50 GMT20
I as looking at a few on Ebay and I came across a Kodak DCS760, which seems
to be built around an old Nikon film SLR body.
I've never seen one before, and it seems to be a bit of leviathon. A huge
cumbersome beast.
Flickr vs Shutterfly16 Dec 2007 21:54 GMT5
I started using Flickr as my photo sharing service, but whenever I mention
it to people, they ask "is that like ShutterFly?", which I guess is more
popular.  Of course, more popular does not always equal better.  (i.e.,P&S

Sneer proof camera?16 Dec 2007 06:00 GMT5
A large part of my work is running out and taking pictures of space.
Buildings, land. Lots of pictures so other people don't need to do the
running. Then do it all over again.
I've been using a Kodak Z740 since it's cheap, reasonably good on

Lens Recommendation15 Dec 2007 07:21 GMT9
I'd like to be able to shoot some of my daughter's upcoming volleyball
season and my existing lenses just aren't cutting it.  I have a Canon EOS
Rebel XT with the standard 18-55 lens and the basic 70-300 f4-5.6 lens.
I'm considering the Canon 85mm f1.8 lens because of the ...
I need a camera for time lapse photography14 Dec 2007 22:36 GMT21
I'm very interested in photographing meteor showers.  I live in
Scotland.  Where I live has a lot of light pollution, but an area a
few miles from my home is very good for viewing the night sky.  What I
want to do is leave a camera outside all night and have it
why one needs a view finder14 Dec 2007 21:48 GMT17
So I bought a second camera**, very small with only a screen, and I'm
out today and the sun is very bright, and I have a choice of shooting
into the sun, and not being able to see at all, or shooting away from
the sun, and having the sunlight so bright on my lcd screen that I
Digital frame HELP14 Dec 2007 17:16 GMT6
I just purchased a digital frame as a gift for my husband from my daughter
for Christmas. Unfortunately, I did not know enough about them, just thought
they were fun, to research and ended up with one that does not plug into the
computer. Now I don't know how to get pics on it as ...
