Is it physically not possible to mount larger size sensor in a P&S
camera?  I notice that the larger the sensor size, the camera is
getting bigger and becoming closer to DSLR (G7, S5IS, FZ50, etc). Is
the sensor mounted a certain distance from the lens? Therefore larger

Sorry for the large image size (my gallery software is not liking the

I have been told I am a very good photographer. My aunt asked me to do

A new Panasonic digital camera just came out. It has an 18x optical
zoom, similar to Olympus SP-550UZ. I wonder how do they prize it in
comparison to the smaller FZ8 and the larger FZ50? Will FZ8 be slowly
pull out, or is this camera a new series?

I've never used a digital scanner before, but I have loads of old negatives
I'd love to see as JPEGs onscreen and possibly printed out as photographs.
The thing is, how good are these scanners and are there some better than
others? How does the scanned negative JPG file look ...
