Captions28 May 2007 15:32 GMT9
I am scanning a batch of photos into a digital photo album. I am scanning to
bmp's.
What is the best way to put a title or name or description in a caption
below the photo?
A self-defeating technique?28 May 2007 14:30 GMT9
I am scanning my photo album photos into my computer hard drive. I am using
an Epson Stylus CX 4600 flatbed scanner/printer.
I am scanning at 300 DPI and get files in the 2 MB range. I then save these
files as .jpg's at 50% compression, resulting in files of about .5 MB each.

Nikon Raw and Picassa26 May 2007 20:24 GMT6
I had a quick look around the web for an answer to this prob, but could not
find a solution that worked ....
I have a Nikon D40 and tend to shoot in RAW format. I like to use Picassa
for image viewing, but it doesnt seem handle the RAW files very well.
Tips for Trip26 May 2007 14:39 GMT8
Hey, gang, I know this is going to be kind of generic and really comes down
to somewhat of my skills (which I feel are probably only amatuer, but
anyway).  I'm about to take a trip out west, and I know I'm going to the
Grand Canyon, outside of that, I really don't know (some of ...
Digital camera review on long term test (and torture test)25 May 2007 20:11 GMT5
Could anyone direct me with website that provide long term test on
digital cameras, not just the test when the camera is brand new?
Any difference in performance between the expensive models or
established brand name and their cheaper models?
Buying digital cameras - basic vs high end camera25 May 2007 15:52 GMT39
This question perhaps relates to my other question about long term
camera tests. If someone gives you money to buy a camera, say for
$800, and you are just an average camera user (not a pro), no action
shots, just want to get good quality, sharp pictures, what would you

Film vs. digital cameras25 May 2007 08:45 GMT19
I went back and look at old photos in my attic and surprised to see
that some of photos that I took years ago using a cheap Nikon One
touch range finder camera were extremely sharp and good quality. I
used that camera for a number of years, outdoor photos in rain or
