Coolpix 3100 turns off after splash screen31 Mar 2007 16:31 GMT3
My coolpix 3100 regularly dies just after it powers up - it gets as

Have tried new batteries, a different CF card and resetting all
settings to default.

Hoe good are old filters?30 Mar 2007 12:14 GMT2
I've a new Canon EF 50mm 1.8 lens and realised that I have a 52mm
skylight filter I bought for my first SLR over 40 years ago - -anyone
remember PetriFlex?  There are no visible faults with the filter, but
is it worth putting it on my new lens?

pics, but allow me to do it without processing one folder at a time? i.e. I
need it to select all photos, but the way the are numbered means each folder
contains the same 'filenames' (sort of), but the ...

B&W Photos w/Rebel Xti28 Mar 2007 00:53 GMT7
May be a dumb question.....but.....I have a Canon Rebel XTi dSLR, and am
wondering how do you take black and white pictures with it?  I have not seen
a setting on the camera for this, so is it simply a matter of the processing
in my imaging software?
More on Stock Photography27 Mar 2007 19:14 GMT1
I ran across a rather long article on selling stock photography to
websites by a kinda interesting individual. The guy is an Australian
chef with a talent for photography. His name is Benjamin Christie.
I've never heard of him, but it seems he has a TV cooking show too.
Photo Book making services?27 Mar 2007 16:33 GMT9
I have been a digital camera nut for awhile now (had my first in 1999)
and now I have a billion photos (ok, not billion but I'm getting
there). I would like to put some of my photos into an album/scrapbook.
I am not particularly great with my hands so I was hoping to avoid the
Question about image file identification tags27 Mar 2007 01:23 GMT10
Whatever software I use to process my photos seems to always put some kind
of information identifying itself into the file.
Is there a way to remove this completely ?
Got a D80..now I have a question..file names27 Mar 2007 01:21 GMT4
Got my first digital SLR..a D80 (all my optical Nikkor lens work just
fine).  Working out well, but I have a question.
I'm using multiple memory cards.  When I take photos, I'm getting the
same file name on multiple cards.
