Candid photos at night with a digital camera?16 Jan 2007 17:27 GMT11
I've just purchased a Canon EOS Rebel XT digital camera and am looking for
some assistance with night photos.  When I take candid shots at home using
ambient light, I seem to have two options using the basic settings:
1.  Using the general setting, let the camera do all the ...

Someone recently told me about this photographer but I'm having trouble
finding information about him and his work  online.  I wonder if I'm

2Mp cell phone cameras16 Jan 2007 17:03 GMT6
I notice my SIL has a Nokia cellphone with an alleged 2Mp camera.  Are
these true 2Mp camaras?  Despite the rather generous LCD, it didn't
have the resolution to see resulting photographs properly and we
didn't have a regular computer handy.  What's the story?

a brand new Vivitar on eBay and found too late that I wasted my money. It has
several handy features, but a simple flash is not one of them! This camera is
Recommended lens16 Jan 2007 16:14 GMT4
I recently purchased a 50mm 1.8 lens for my Canon 350 for use at low light
levels, and I am very happy with it.
I now need something with similar performance, but offering me some zoom as
well.

Why don't people take more care when editing images?15 Jan 2007 18:09 GMT48

Not a bad picture but really could have been a great picture if they
had spent a bit more time on it and straightened it.
It is obvious there has been some work done on it as the jet pier has

wondering if there is a major difference between scanning them and
re-shooting them with a digital camera.  (I'm a bit new to Digital
photography.)  These are mostly just memories from  a past life, very
