| Reproducing film in digital | 14 Dec 2006 23:24 GMT | 3 |
I have just put the latest version of DXO on my Mac. It came with an add on module. The module claims to reproduce about 20 film types in both colour (or B&W tones) and grain. So there goes an argument for using wet film...

| Proshow Gold and DVD | 14 Dec 2006 03:00 GMT | 6 |
I want to use Proshow Gold to make a DVD for my father to watch; sounds simple enough I suppose. I used Proshow Gold to make a presentation, and selected the 'DVD Disc' icon, which should make a DVD. It seemed to make one, however,

| Bronica (RIP) and will the others (Mamiya, Rollei, Hasselblad, etc) follow? | 13 Dec 2006 08:01 GMT | 25 |
I just found out through the internet that Bronica cameras have been discontinued since around 2004-2005. It is a sad story, as it has a long history since 1959. I read an article in UK, which explained why Bronica went under...(because they did not pursue the digital market).

| Nikon warranty and grey imports revisited | 12 Dec 2006 05:32 GMT | 18 |
After the long and rambling thread a while back about grey imports and the Nikon warranty I did the only sensible thing and talked to some Nikon people at one of their events in London. It appears that there are some differences (mainly electrical) between
