New Filters31 Dec 2006 22:31 GMT4
My wife bought me some filters for Christmas - and while I have a basic
understanding of their use, I could use some extra insight.
Could someone point me towards an online resource for how to better use a

How to take photos of war???31 Dec 2006 12:35 GMT47
How can I take photos of action on the battlefield

Increase in saturation can DECREASE contrast (gurus refuted)30 Dec 2006 15:35 GMT5
It is mind-boggling, judging from the opinions presented on the
internet, the lack of understanding regarding color saturation in
photography. Most of the so-called experts seem to be mindlessly
reciting mantras they have heard somewhere without understanding the
Competitive European (German) digital cameras30 Dec 2006 02:16 GMT5
My first SLR camera was an East German Praktica. I noticed that they
are still producing  cameras, and has digital SLR products in the
market. My question is why the German cameras do not compete in the
camera market in North America?  Are they just simply too expensive,
Photo 365: A New Year's resolution for every photographer30 Dec 2006 00:10 GMT7

doesn't have to be stunning artwork for the ages. You just need to have
your camera in your hands every day for a year.
Large or Medium Format29 Dec 2006 18:18 GMT6
I'm looking for a little info.  A photographer at my wedding also used

like one of these cameras, don't really know why, kind of turning into

Kodak CX 6330 Battery Problem28 Dec 2006 20:19 GMT1
This old point and shoot camera works fine with one exception: When I change
batteries, it loses the date and time settings, unless I am as fast as a
whirling dervish.
Is this indicative of my improper handling or is this a camera defect?  If

Metallic photo paper?28 Dec 2006 14:48 GMT6
I have begun to do business with White House Custom Color for my
digital printing. They use the "lightjet" system that most "digital on
photographic paper" places use these days, and so they offer three
options of Kodak Royal paper on which to receive prints: glossy,

Cleaning Old Camera28 Dec 2006 02:57 GMT1
I recently inherited an old Miranda Sensorex camera from my wife's
grandfather.  I do not claim to be any type of professional when it
comes to photography or anything, but I've done a few things already
(attempting to clean, etc).  The camera is about 40 years old but is in
Cano PowerShot G727 Dec 2006 21:33 GMT1
The Canon Powershot G7 is the kind of camera that not only makes you
feel like a better photographer, but helps you become one too, mixing
both comprehensive and happily reliable hand holding features with a
plethora of real photographic controls that, along with build quality,
