Digital has come of age18 Nov 2006 07:26 GMT31
I've been shooting digital now for six years, and I think that the
advances in technology have reached a point where it really is a great
medium. The sensitivity of the camera sensors now, mean that there is
little that you can do with film that you can't do with digital.

Stitz Selenium Light Meter - Manual required16 Nov 2006 10:25 GMT8
Hiya,
I've just got my hands on a Stitz Selenium Cell light meter and am wondering
if anybody has a copy of a manual for one that they could scan. Or knows where
I could find one on line.

What can cause film emulsion to become damaged?15 Nov 2006 20:43 GMT1
What can cause film emulsion to become damaged?
I have been scanning some Kodachrome 25 slides from a 1975 trip to
Hawaii.  The slides have all received identical care, and have never had
anything happen that should damage the film emulsion.
Camera selection help15 Nov 2006 07:49 GMT2
My wife fell yesterday while we were working.  She destroyed her camera, an
old Olympus D460.  Yah, I know, it's just about ready to go to the
Smithsonian, but it was one hell of a little camera.
Anyway, I want to find her another point and shoot SIMPLE camera.  She
Printing photo books: Any experience with Viovio?14 Nov 2006 16:48 GMT3
I'm considering getting some of my photos printed and bound as a book.
I'm not planning on mass-producing or selling them; this would just be
a nice way for me to keep and show my photos. I'm looking for some
combination of good quality and inexpensive.

What Type of New Camera Should I Get?13 Nov 2006 23:29 GMT9
I am considering getting a new camera.  I am looking at the SLR canon
rebel xti or the 'point and shoot' Kodak easyshare P850.
So, is the extra money worth it to get the rebel xti?  The thing that I
did not like about it was the optical zoom.  Is that a big issue that

black and white contrast filters12 Nov 2006 23:44 GMT9
I currently use both a 35mm SLR and a TLR medium format camera, mostly
for shooting black and white. However, I think that by not having
contrast filters, many of my shots have suffered. I was wondering if
there is any filter system I could get that I can use with both cameras.
