I have some old 126 negatives and there are a few that I want to convert into digital images. The problem is my scanner, an Epson 3490 perfection only does 35mm negs or slides in the frame supplied with the scanner. So does anyone have any suggestions on the best way to scan 126 ...

I've set up a rig to do "screenless" capture of film through a 4 1/2" condenser lens which is then bounced off a front surface mirror at 45 deg into the cam. Generally it seems to work pretty well, however, I find that I get a mild blurriness on the outer periphery of the image. ...

I am looking for a camera but am having a hard time deciding if I want RAW mode or not. As I understand it RAW mode allows maximum manipulation of a photo. What I am trying to understand is do I need this? If I get a camera that shoots JPG’s I know I will have control too. ...
