Canon & Nikon lenses06 Oct 2006 16:05 GMT2
I believe the "G" lenses are the less expensive but good and the "D" lenses
are the 'more expensive and better ones irrespective of any other lettering
or nomenclature.

Tests of the Panasonic FZ30 and FZ5005 Oct 2006 20:04 GMT3
I've uploaded my tests of the FZ30 and FZ50, including the RAW files you
can download if you want to examine them yourselves (the FZ50 is not
supported in CS2 camera raw yet but is by the Adobe Lightroom beta 4).
The articles and files can be found at:

Dear Experts,
Now that I've got my Nikon D70, and taken a few hundred pictures, I
want to make a t shirt from one of the images.
The t shirt people have given me some specs.  The image needs

Nikon D50 or D7004 Oct 2006 02:31 GMT7
I will soon be in the market for a Digital SLR.  The Nikon cameras seem
very appealing to me.  Question is, should I go with the D50 or the
D70?  I will only be using this for personal use and the occassional
car show photo shots.  Any opinions and comments are greatly

Which Scanner?04 Oct 2006 01:03 GMT1
I just wondered which flatbed scanner you would choose out of the
following:
Canon Lide 4400F
Epson Perfection V100
Brisbane Broncos (Football) Gallery03 Oct 2006 15:42 GMT5
I decided I needed a bit of experience in a field I haven't really done
anything in - so when I heard that the Brisbane Broncos (footy team)
were having a fan day (+ training) I thought that would be just the
ticket to give me a challenge. Here's what I ended up with:

Lens problem02 Oct 2006 09:53 GMT8
I thought of buying this :- http://tinyurl.com/z99bx
It's a 2x convertor for only £70 (UK), but would it be good enough to attach
to my Canon EOS 10D and 28-135mm IS USM Lens I wonder? Or, would it
'degrade' the photo quality in some way?
Canon EOS 400D, will lens fit?01 Oct 2006 15:55 GMT6
I'm planning to buy a Canon 400D, but would like to keep using my Sigma
28-300mm Aspherical IF lens. I currently own a EOS 300 (analog).
Will my lens fit on a 400D as well? Canon specs show all EF-type lenses
will fit, but since I own a (apparently) IF type, I'm not sure.

Lighting temperature for a portrait shoot01 Oct 2006 01:48 GMT71
Hey, all...
So is the choice of temperature for lights in a portrait setting
completely subjective, or are there empirical differences in the
temperature of lights that are chosen?
