Color channels vs. color IO channels.27 Aug 2006 02:33 GMT1
What is the difference between changing the value of a color channel
and changing the input/output value of a color channel?  What is the
source of the 'input' and what is the destination of the
'output'?

I am taking photos with my 6mp camera - the photos are roughly coming out in

Question is what type of printer do I need to get the best out of the
Bean bags (yes, ontopic!)26 Aug 2006 14:54 GMT4
I need a new beanbag..  to replace the one I keep in my camera bag for
those times when I don't have a tripod, that is.
The old one I used was less than successful, and was actually one of
those things you heat up in a microwave for applying to neck injuries..

Auto winder settings24 Aug 2006 14:43 GMT4
I recently got a Gemini autowinder along with a Canon AE-1 Program. The

I recently photographed a horse show in Houston.  It was outdoors, but

(roof, but no walls).  I was not allowed to use an external flash b/c
it might spook the horses.  I was shooting with my D50 at around f/4 at

Remote control (or movement sensor) on compact camera?23 Aug 2006 21:50 GMT9
I want to take some pictures of animal and wildlife.
How much does one have to spend here in the UK to get a compact digital
camera which has a remote control which lets me fire the shutter when I

Best deal on second hand studio lights23 Aug 2006 13:59 GMT3
I have a very tall light stand with roughly 2" diameter posts for
mounting.
I'm looking to get a couple of _moderately_ powerful (500w) studio
lights. No need for new, so long as the bulb is in decent shape.
