Buying Canon EOS 350D camera in Phoenix AZ08 Jun 2006 22:03 GMT4
A family member will be in Phoenix AZ next week.  We want to purchase a
Canon EOS 350D (and lenses etc) while there as it is significantly cheaper
than here in South Africa.  Does anyone know of a supplier and/or specialist
photographic retailer/shop close to the Marriott Desert ...

Is this the place to ask several question about the D50 or is there a
forum specifically devoted to this camera?
Since I'm here:

SLR - what does it mean?07 Jun 2006 16:26 GMT20
When I took photographs with a normal (non digital) it was Single Lens
Reflex, and referred to the fact that one was looking through the lens
at the potential picture, and not through a viewfinder at an approximate
spot.

Restoration gone wrong07 Jun 2006 03:36 GMT5
I soaked a very curled 80 year old print in plain water. It flattened
nicely. I pressed it between clean sheets of white paper. The emulsion
stuck to the new paper. I have tried to resoak it and seperate them. So
far no luck. I lean toward more soaking. I hope the original paper
using Canon 100mm Macro as Normal Lense06 Jun 2006 22:50 GMT6
Does anyone here use a Canon 100mm Macro as their normal lense?  Or would it
really be better in every way to have a separate 100mm normal?  I know the
Canon normal is faster (2 vs 2.8) and smaller and lighter but it's also an
add expense.  I don't own either right now, but with ...

Red Spot on Nikon D70 pics at ISO 160006 Jun 2006 07:49 GMT1
I normally take pics at FINE JPEG setting, LARGE size. Recently, I
noticed that when I take pics at ISO 1600, there was a red spot with
white center; the spot was almost circular about 2-3 mm diameter. It
was placed at about 1/6th of the total length from the left and 1/4th
Deciphering a German label05 Jun 2006 22:22 GMT4

10-22mm for Nikon D70s?04 Jun 2006 08:59 GMT4
I need some help to make the right decision:
Should I choose the Sigma 10-20mm, the Sigma 12-24mm, the Tokina 12-24mm or
the Tamron 11-18mm for my Nikon D70s? The Nikon 12-24mm is too expensive for
me.
