What does it mean when someone says "Expose for the highlights"?

If i use the Picture Perfect on my laptop while on vacation to
organize the photos, will I be able to download the photos and the
orgainzation, such as folders as I choose them, to my main comp? maybe
using a flash drive, or is the only way to burn a CD?

I downloaded and installed Nikon 6 software.  I can't get it to work.
Itslows down my cmp, takes up a lot of processor time, and doesn't do
anything.  It wont transfer from a memory card.  What can I do to make
this work?

Other than pressing the reset button as indicated in the manual, are there
any further options or sequences to reset my D70?
The camera will no longer turn on and with a cf card inserted, the green
access light continues to flash.  The command display is totally blank.

While of course glad that the camera is in the birthing process and that
it is somewhat up to date in sensor pixel count, I can't help but see
what's missing from it:  (Please correct any errors I may have made).

I have Rolleiflex SL 2000 F
In great shape but needs a service because the shutter misses sometimes.
I have few lenses with it, and Rolleinar is fantastic. I've tried few
lenses and pics from than one I can pick up any time from any different

Is it advisable to put some kind of filter on lenses as protection?  What
kind?
B&H has a generic 52mm uv for $9 and a Hoya for $18.  Would the generic be
suitable?

i shot hundreds of photos and somehow managed to get them on my cmp.
I added a few more photos to the card, and thought I did the same with
them, but they are not on my cmp.  Thinking they were on my comp,
because i saw them in a folder on My Pictures, I deleted the photos

now my card reader wont read the card, i got view 6 to work now it
wont.  i might messed up my usb ports when i got one of those memory
