Our digital camera (HP-never will I buy another HP) recently broke and we are in the market for a new one. We are not hardcore photographers, but we do take quite a good amount of pictures and need a camera (looking for digital) for the usual/casual picture taking moments

Generally I don't use a flash. Why? Currently I've got no internal flash and an external flash can be a bit of a hassle. But the most important reason is that I cannot really work with it I suppose :-) But now, I came across this picture:

Anyone have experience doing indoor shots of furniture, kitchens, etc. Kitchen Cabinet designer wants me to take photos of installed work. Things to deal with are, window light, narrow kitchens, shiny surfaces, etc.

I have a D70 I have noticed that photos taken with the built in flash are dark about a half to a full stop. I just got the SB 800 and still notice the same thing. Does anyone have the same problem?

I have recently brought a Nikon D100 the sensor needed cleaning beacause of dust. I was wondering does it reduce the amount of dust that collects over time if the camera is kept with the sensor facing downwards.
