| EOS 10D to Nikon D70 - An upgrade? | 20 Jan 2006 13:32 GMT | 8 |
I own a Canon EOS 10D and love it to bits, but I have the urge to try a Nikon DSLR for a change. Would going from the EOS 10D to the Nikon D70 be regarded as un upgrade of any kind? Considering that the 10D is older than the D70, that is. I feel I've gotten into a 'rut' lately ...

| Developing B&W film | 20 Jan 2006 12:32 GMT | 8 |
I live in the UK, and am currently using Ilford HP5 black & white film on my SLR. It's lovely film and takes great pictures, but the development costs are crazy - £10 a film in Boots! And it takes 12 days to process!

| Flash Diffusion? | 20 Jan 2006 09:55 GMT | 13 |
I guess shooting 35mm got me spoiled, because I had a nice bounce flash. My Fuji S5100 has a pop-up flash with no shoe for another. The flash shots I'm getting are washed out. What I need is a good flash diffuser that will mute that effect from a small light source. Long term, I ...

| What lens should I get next for my Digital Rebel? | 18 Jan 2006 16:46 GMT | 9 |
I of course have the 18-55mm lends that came with the kit, and have also picked up a 50mm f1.8/II lens that I'm quite happy with. Is there a zoom lens under $500 that gives better results than the default lens? Should I give up home for a lens under the above price

| Help required - frame painting | 18 Jan 2006 13:10 GMT | 3 |
Frame painting - I have tried to find a more appropriate newsgroup but without success. Although I can make my own wooden frames for speed and cost I have been guilty of buying dark brown "wood finished and gilt" plastic frames in most sizes up to 16 x12. Now I can't stand ...

| Avoid the Canon Powershot A620 digital camera | 16 Jan 2006 19:16 GMT | 26 |
I want to tell you about a serious flaw in the Canon Powershot A620, which required that I return my A620. I assumed it was just a defect in my camera alone, but in searching Usenet I have discovered that others
