Sensor cleaning Canon 20D31 Jan 2006 23:49 GMT6
Can anyone tell me if I can clean the sensor or a Canon 20D myself or is it
too delicate. I realise I should not use a brush but any other advice
welcome.
Thanks,  Eddie

Unintentional B&W tint ...31 Jan 2006 08:49 GMT10
... what I mean is, I have a colour image which I have desaturated in
Elements. The image, however, appears to have a blue tint (which I am not
seeing elsewhere). I am working with a new display and have messed around
for two days now, updating drivers and tweaking gamma and ...
QUESTION: Looking for a certain lighting effect...31 Jan 2006 01:02 GMT30
Hey, all.
I'm planning a shoot sometime in the next while, and for some of the
shots there's a certain effect I want. I know I've seen the effect many
times, but don't have a sample to refer people to offhand - so I'll

I have a tricky image I need to create:
I need to photograph a person doing a cartwheel. The exposure needs to
show the person in motion but with three distinct renderings of the

Photo Enlargers...30 Jan 2006 00:35 GMT5
One of my relatives has passed away recently. He was an avid
photographer, the "old style" with his own darkroom and thousands of
dollars in equipment. I took a photo enlarger and would like to know
it's net. worth. eBay and other places came up blank and taking it to a
Photograph of Lincoln29 Jan 2006 21:29 GMT2
A friend of mine has a photograph (silvertype print?) of Abraham
Lincoln.  It says that is published by C. H. Masters from a July 4,
1856 original by W.H. Masters.  The studio was located in Princeton,
Illinois.  Can anyone tell me anything about this?  I cannot find any
Black circular shadow at the base of my pictures from my new 12-20 mm lens29 Jan 2006 11:32 GMT1
I just bought this lens for my Nikon D70 and I love it except when I
use the flash (doesn't happen all the time) I get this dark circular
shadow at the base of the photograph. Can anybody clarify this? Does it
have to do with the width of the lens and my needing a separate flash

Sony R1 - Good?28 Jan 2006 16:45 GMT3
I have just read the reports on the Sony R1 and I am wondering about some
things. First of all, they gave this camera a 'large' sensor and this is
said to be the main reason for the 'better' picture quality. But, as an
owner of an EOS 10D, the sensor in which is quite large, I ...
Printing specific sizes...28 Jan 2006 04:24 GMT5
I'm wondering how I should go about printing my digital photos into
specific sizes like 8x10 or 5x7 without image loss.
I use Photoshop CS2 currently but I don't see how it will allow me to
specify print sizes that I like...even if I have to do some cropping
