I have been into photography for years (and year.)  The past few years
various people have been encouraging me to either sell my photos or
create a book.  I do it entirely for the pleasure of taking pictures,
but recently the owner of a local clothing shop (she also sells

Can anyone confirm if the EF-S 17-85mm f/4-5.6 IS USM is only useable with
the 300D, 350D and 20D cameras? will it work with higher end D-SLRs from the
Canon range?

Any pointers on matting a photo?  I will need to keep expenses down,
so it will be the Exacto and straight edge for me.  Are there any
tricks to properly centering offsize mat holes?

How is it possible that LCD display shows live picture throught the lens
when the shutter is closed (digital compact cameras)???

I've got a new tripod, a Manfrotto 3021BPRO. It's a great tripod, however I
have a question about one feature of it.  It has a "leg warmer" feature,
which appears to consist of a foam-type wrap around two of the legs.  There
isn't any description of what these are supposed to do ...

Kodak refers to damage that can be caused to circuitry
by using an external flash without a device....a voltage regulator I think?
Being a newbie I mentioned this nervously to a camera shop assistant who
said it was rubbish.

Hi.  I have a question about selling my own prints as art.  While this
will not be a signed limited edition, I'd like to know if it's
customary for the photographer to sign the photo.  If so, where, and
with what type of writing instrument.  This would apply to both matted
