I'm looking for a lightweight/pocket camera that does portrait well and
could be
used in video conferencing, if that's possible and won't disappoint on
vacation/landscape pictures.

I've just picked up a Canon 20D and looking for the best tutorial or
learning course.  I'm told that I can get a short course specific to the
Canon 20D on CD from Ebay.  Are these good?  Is there a better resource?

I'm just starting to get back into photography, just saving for a new camera
now so I decided to start a new site http://www.halifaxphoto.net  I would

Does anyone know of any program I can use to give a digital photo a
watercolour look? I've had a look in Fireworks but can't seem to see
anything in there that does this. I did have some freeware program
years back that came with an old scanner that could do it. I think it

Just wondering if this is normal.
I have a Fuji FinePix 340 which takes fine pictures for my needs
But it eats batteries something fierce.
So I got a 3V adaptor per the manual and it works fine for saving

Ok.. with the advent of digital cameras, many of us are now shooting like
crazy, perhaps thousands of photos in a year.
I'll get to my question in a moment, but first will advance my thoughts so
all will know what I feel I am up against.
