Posing a dog20 Oct 2005 11:08 GMT8
I have the opportunity to take a picture of a friend's dog with the goal of
creating an 8x10 framed print.  I'm using a Canon 350D and have a small
studio setup with a backdrop and some lights.  I'm very used to taking
people pictures in the studio but was looking for any insight ...
D-70 Exp comp question20 Oct 2005 05:56 GMT1
I have been having quite the debate on another forum concerning the Nikon
D-70's exposure compensation.
It is well understood that a FILM camera; when using exp comp, will either
alter the shutter speed or aperture.

Operating temps20 Oct 2005 04:25 GMT2
I see alot of point and shoots have a 32f operating low temp. Is winter
photography out for many of us, what will happen if I try to use a
camera at 0 or 30f that is rated for 32f. I dont want to go back to film
just because its cold out.
What is it about ebay pictures!20 Oct 2005 02:57 GMT11
Why is it that most eBay pictures are taken by people who have absolutely no
idea about photography? When the picture is the main selling point, why do
they even bother?

Questions about a Six-2019 Oct 2005 16:40 GMT2
Two questions.
I have purchased a Brownie Target Six-20 with the Art Deco front. I
even have the manual. However, I cannot figure out how to open it and
don't want to force anything (the manual just says "open the camera").
Manual Lens for Nikon FM18 Oct 2005 19:55 GMT1
I am planning on buying a Nikon D70s. I have an old Nikon FM and some manual
lenses for it. Will those lenses work with the D70s? Will they interact with
the light meter?

or landscapes of somthing. I have put a few of them on the web I was
wondering if I could get some feedback on them. Some shouldn't really
be on there, I just wanted to fill it up. Take a look and reply or send
Film Question18 Oct 2005 02:07 GMT5
Hi, I'm just an amateur but I'm experimenting with taking night photos.  Is
there a difference in the film I should be using (I'm taking photos of
structures, with little light in the background or foreground.)  Some camera
stores are telling me 400 Kokak, others say 800 Fuji - ...

de volle maan bij heldere hemel kon ik toch niet weerstaan, al kom ik
met mijn oude zoomlensje niet verder dan 210 mm bij een cropfactor

Problem with AF on Canon Rebel17 Oct 2005 18:51 GMT6
My canon slr digital has suddenly lost the ability to focus. I shoot several
hundred photos per week and I have recently added a 200 zoom lens to my
equipment. Any ideas why the camera would suddenly lose this feature? The
camera is about 18 months old. Thanks for the newsgroup ...
35 mm vs Digiital17 Oct 2005 17:54 GMT17
I have used 35mm film for the better part of 40 years and have always
been happy with it. I have had many fine slrs and amongst them my Canon
F1, A1 and ae-1 are still in use. I use a Nikkormat FT2 and Nikon F2 as
well. Being as I am getting somewhat long in the tooth would ...
Lens question17 Oct 2005 14:18 GMT12
Is this Tokina lens ok on both film and digital SLRs.  I am assuming the
seller is reliable given their rating.  What about the lens quality as the
price seems quite affordable and not around the $500 plus mark.  It
apparently can be used for film and digital according to the ...
