I've been using a Digital8 camcorder to do some video capture using DV
format, this case capturing 8mm film, going in to the computer via Firewire.
I'm running into a problem.
I find that when I output through the camcorder directly to the capture

Has anyone used the product Roadstar by MicroSolution?
It can burn CDs if you want to reuse your memory cards and shoot more
images.
I'm considering to get one as the price is dropping

I want to scan in my mother's old photos to archive them and have them
available to the family should they wish to print them out. I also want
them to be of high enough quality to be able to create a slide show
movie on DVD. With the large high quality wide screen TVs around now

Hello group,
I need a light for my Canon Elura 80 digital camcorder.  I am taking videos
with a blue-green screen back. In addition, I plan on taking a lot of
outdoor videos.   Can anyone suggest a decent light?

When shooting digital is there a noticeable difference between 400Ws & 800Ws
(effective) lighting?

I just picked-up a Nikkor 300mm AF-I 2..8.  Unfortunately, it was missing
the lens hood.  A replacement (IF it could be found), cost a small fortune.
Does anybody know of a less expensive generic hood & where to obtain one? I
don't care what it has written on it, anything ...
