| Getting started | 21 Sep 2005 18:31 GMT | 1 |
This weekend I'll be buying myself a new camera. A Konica Minolta Z5. I'm REALLY looking forward to playing with it. But I was wondering if any of you had suggested links that might help teach me to really use it to it's full potential.

| IS lenses - Any issues? | 21 Sep 2005 02:22 GMT | 2 |
Has anyone heard of some technical issues with the Canon IS lens ie: 70-200 mm. A friend told me not that sometimes the IS doesn't work and locks up your camera. He hadn't experienced this, he just heard about it. Anyone else?

I have exhausted all possible searches and come to the conclusion that if you do not have a car and do not have a credit card, there is no way for you to buy 35mm film short of walking down to the convienence store and paying $6.99 per roll, or waiting for a ride and stocking up at

I'm seeking a museum in the mid-Atlantic area that has a significant (that is, LARGE) collection of old cameras and photographic equipment. I'd like to find museums whose collections include plenty of 19th-century technology (even pre-daguerreotype stuff) but also some

| D70 Vertical Grip | 18 Sep 2005 13:41 GMT | 4 |
I've read about a number of third-party vendors that make vertical grips for the D70 but all of them seem to suffer from a pretty serious limitation: the button on the grip will not focus the camera when it's half depressed. Does anyone out there know of a manufacturer that makes

| Tripod Advice Please | 18 Sep 2005 12:56 GMT | 32 |
I need some advice on a tripod. My wife and I have been sharing an old clunky Slik 504QF (not the II) which is really made for video but it's worked well for us to this point. Lately we've found that one tripod just isn't enough so I want to buy a new one.
