A way to keep dust out of a DSLR when changing lenses.24 Aug 2005 19:31 GMT22
Seems that with a number if not all camera, when you change the lenses, the
entire guts of the camera is exposed to the air, which if you are outside
doing wildlife photography, can be rife with dust which to me is a terrible
thing, dust is everywhere, and cleaning is a risky ...

newbie : exposure terminology - aperture "increase".24 Aug 2005 10:42 GMT39
Why does the author of a Digital SLR book I have insist on referring to
"increasing the aperture" when going from f/4 to, e.g., f/22 ?
Surely this is decreasing the aperture size and thus decreasing "the
aperture".
How to take apart a bogen monopod?23 Aug 2005 23:40 GMT4
I have a Bogen (Manfrotto) monopod (possibly a Gruppo 434) and the
spring at the top which pushes the camera screw out has got jammed.
About an inch from the top, under the foam covering, there is a thin
metal pole which I've already removed but I still can't get the top off.
Humidity23 Aug 2005 19:12 GMT14
Lately it's been so humid where I live that when I go outside and remove my
lens cap my lens (and filter if I have one on) instantly fog. On a couple of
occasions after being outside for as little as 10-15 minutes my entire
camera is moist, once to the point it had actual drops of ...
Canon rebels23 Aug 2005 10:43 GMT15
I got one of them canon rebel 2000 digital cameras.  The lens that came
with it is pretty good for general photos, but I am looking for
something that has more range.  I have seen a brand called sigma that
makes compatiable lenses, but are they any good?
Common mistakes photograpy newbies make.23 Aug 2005 04:36 GMT12
Confession they say is good for the soul, but it's also good to talk about.
I might save someone my rather silly boo boo, and I might learn some
mistakes I might currently be making.
I was having difficulty with subjects such as snakes. The middle would be in
What is so difficult about looking through a view finder???23 Aug 2005 01:35 GMT11
I have been scanning some of my father's old 35mm transparencies.  One
thing that I have noticed with them, and some of my own more recent
pictures is that many people seem to have trouble composing a picture
through a view finder.  There would be times that my dad or I would hand

For Sale - Minolta 3000i plus accessories22 Aug 2005 21:32 GMT1
I've got an "effectively brand new" Minolta 3000i that I'm looking to part
with, having gone mostly digital now.  I say effectively brand new, because
I've only shot one roll on it out of the box.  No real manual focus options,
but it's fine as a camera.
