Shooting a wedding:  What to charge?28 Aug 2005 19:35 GMT20
Hey all,
I have a question about pricing.  My friend and I were approached to shoot
a wedding.  The people want this to be as cheap as it can be so they told us
their budget is $300.  My friend and I think this is ridiculous even taking

Massachusetts Darkrooms?27 Aug 2005 04:27 GMT1
I live in northeast Massachusetts. Does anyone know of any colleges,
art schools, etc. that let the general community come in and use their
darkrooms (for a fee, of course)?
Thank you.
newbie : flash problems : ND70 + 12-2427 Aug 2005 04:20 GMT3
I recently added a Tokina 12-24 F4/IF/DX lens to my Nikon D70.
Flash photography using the built in flash in "idiot auto mode(green

Hi new to DSLR photography, I need advice on a good photo editing
program I don't think I am ready for the steep learning curve of

various merits of the two above programs but am up against a stone wall
Spain before my eyes26 Aug 2005 17:10 GMT2
I'd like to show you my new photography gallery, which I'm starting to
build by selecting photographs from my trips all around Spain. I try to
avoid simple landscapes, and look for a view of each place which really
tells me something about it...
photographing strangers (slightly OT)26 Aug 2005 08:57 GMT34
There is a strange man following my wife (bordering on stalking) on her
daily commute via train and bus.  He has yet to do anything illegal, but we
are both getting the creeps from him.
I'd like to walk up to him and photograph him.  I don't want to do it from a
old print needs help26 Aug 2005 01:01 GMT4
I have an old print that has faded.  The negative is LONG gone (lost or
tossed?)  I'm reframing the print and didn't realize how faded it was until
removing the old mat.  The edges are vibrant and alive.
My question - Is there any way to rescue this print?  Maybe there are

Can anyone suggest some software I should consider looking at.
Right now I use PS6 for my work.  Been shooting with D60's for 5 years now.
Need to move on.

Pro quality digital photo printing???25 Aug 2005 13:47 GMT2
Can you folks suggest some really good places where I can get digital
files printed? Seems like almost all the online places restrict files to
jpg (resulting in some quality loss).
Thanks,
VINTAGE Negative Scanning25 Aug 2005 05:00 GMT3
I hope this isn't too far OT...
A local museum has a large number of "pre-film" Glass Plate Negatives
and they own an HP-500C flatbed scanner.
Can anyone advise us as to whether any kind of modification is
