Close up photos31 Aug 2005 09:13 GMT3
I've been using a Canon EOS 5 for years and love it and its lens
interchangeability, but at this time, I can't afford to buy a digital SLR.
From the research I've done, digital cameras seem to fall into three general
groups -- small almost pocket sized units, middle sized with or ...
Taking pictures at 26 Federal Plaza, New York31 Aug 2005 02:53 GMT15
I've recently been on vacation in New York - really a great city. As usual,
I had my DSLR camera with me and I've been taking pictures all over the
place.
The only place where I had trouble (well, not really trouble) was at 26
Night Time Photography31 Aug 2005 00:40 GMT21
I'm terrible at it! I went out last night (yesss, I took a tripod) and took
about 60 pictures of a local bridge. I'm really not happy with the lighting
on any of them.
I'd like to be able to shoot night time landscapes but I need some major
Question regarding History of Photography30 Aug 2005 22:34 GMT3
Hello.  I am not sure if this is the right forum for this question,
but I think it is an interesting one.
I wonder who is the person with the earliest verified birthdate to be
photographed.  I assume that the earliest person to be photographed
WTB Minolta Z 1030 Aug 2005 06:01 GMT1

opinions of it (possibly of someone allready using it).
Thanks.
Help needed with transaction gone wrong29 Aug 2005 21:46 GMT4
I am appealing to any photographers who know Hendrik Hoesel, ex employee of
Leica Germany, to help me with this situation.
In November 2004, I purchased a Nikon 28-70 f2.8 lens from Mr Hoesel on ebay
(username palmahendrik). The lens has been lost in the post. Mr Hoesel has

Blue electric background29 Aug 2005 16:44 GMT2
I took lots of photos (d70) with a electric blue background that I purchased
at a photo shop, what program should I use to replace that blue background
with other background (i.e. skyview, ocean, etc). and what options or what's
the technique called to do that on the software you ...
Photography Terminology in German?29 Aug 2005 13:54 GMT4
I'm looking for a site that helps me translate common photography terms from
English to German.  This would make it easier for me to discuss photography
with my girlfriend and her dad.  I have a working knowledge of
conversational German, so the site doesn't have to be in English to ...
sorta depressing29 Aug 2005 13:51 GMT8
Just went into a camera store in Clearwater.  It's like they just opted not
to keep up.  There's almost nothing to buy, certainly nothing digital, but
worse - no papers, chemicals, printers, nada.  A few lenses and enlargers on
consignment, some dusty camera cases.
I'm buying my first digital camera - looking for advice on make & model29 Aug 2005 11:08 GMT5
I am in the market for my first digital camera. I would very much appreciate
some advice on what is a good make and model. I am not looking for anything
cheap, nor something over the top. Today at my local electronics store, the
salesman showed my this camera: The Panasonic ...
