Can anyone recommend a UK firm dealing in photographic insurance. It needs
to be specifically for camera equipment and not a household contents policy
type.
Thanks
Archiving online08 Jul 2005 17:43 GMT2
Just looking for a recommendation for the best place to archive digital
photographs online.
Basically I want to upload a sizable number of images taken on a recent trip
so that friends and family can access them with a web browser.
sateration08 Jul 2005 11:28 GMT1
last time i posted my gallery link here and there was a whole discussion
about sateration etc.. Well the sunset pictures on my gallery were
photoshopped by me (and made by me)  the sateration was altered extremely to
make it red. But I won quite a price with it a week ago. So some ...
how narrow is the bottleneck ?08 Jul 2005 09:32 GMT14
I am almost clear about what happens in the photo lab when prints are
produced. If I understood correctly, the film is first scanned, then the
scanned image is RGB-laser burned onto the photo paper which undergoes the
usual chemical process.

some hot debates over film vs. Digital,  how many pixels can dance on the

Shooting Snowboarding Jumps?07 Jul 2005 06:12 GMT2
I am still using a Nikon F80/N80 and wish to shoot some snowboarding. Any
websites that you can point me to that will help? I have no idea what kind
of film or even what shutter speed to even use to freeze the action, or even
how I would meter in the snow. I am told that the ...
Film vs Digital06 Jul 2005 19:01 GMT26
I heard somewhere that a 35mm slide or negative scanned at 4000 dpi would be
equivalent to a 22 megapixel digital camera.
Is there any truth to this?  If not, what would be the actual amount of
scannable dpi available in 35mm film and what would be the digital camera's

One Last Try06 Jul 2005 07:10 GMT13
Ok, we learned that I am a paranoic crackpot with all kinds of devious
motivations, and a theory that little green guys in a UFO were doing the
shooting.
But we still haven't learned which way Mrs. Kennedy was looking. If
