All,
I'm going to be jumping into digital photography this week.  I'm planning on
purchasing a Canon 20D camera with the 17-85 f/4-5.6IS USM lens and a Canon
580EX speedlight.  In addition to that gear I would like to experiment with

I've an SB 24 that works just fine, however the plastic flip down
diffuser that is normally hidden above the flash in a little slot has
been broken off. Does anyone know of somewhere , if Nikon USA is the
only place so be it, that I can send it for repair. Shops in the SF Bay

Tree Frog Pictures21 Jun 2005 22:44 GMT1
Here are some recent photos that I took of a tree frog that my cat
dragged into the house, literally...  He brought it in through the cat
door, and into the kitchen, where it proceeded to climb up the wall
using its sticky feet.  I rescued it, took some pictures of it, and
Wanted - Canon 300mm21 Jun 2005 20:01 GMT8
Having searched high and low without results, does anyone know of a Canon
300mm f2.8 for sale ?
I will consider a 300/f4.
Non IS preffered but it looks like I can't be too fussy on this one.
Pushing Slide21 Jun 2005 17:00 GMT4
I would appreciate your opinions regarding pushing slide.  Which
slides react best to being pushed?
I am most interested in pushing ISO400 slides to 800 and 1600.
Look forward to your feedback?

Digital Black/White RAW Pictures Question21 Jun 2005 02:45 GMT3
Greetings. I am new to the digital format. I have set my Canon Rebel
XT to capture B/W RAW images. When I preview them in Photoshop Bridge
they preview as black and white but when I open them in Camera RAW 3.1
they open in color. The only way I know of, to get them back to B/W,
Remote Trigger Won't Work21 Jun 2005 02:42 GMT4
I was asked to shoot some portraits tomorrow, so I broke out my old Vivitar
SL-2 remote flash trigger. I planned to use my second flash to get some
backlight/sidelight. However, I can't get the slave to trigger the flash. I
used freshly charged batteries, but no luck.

Would anyone care to comment on who of the major film manufacturers best
supports those of us still shooting film. My personal feeling is it is Fuji,
but I could be wrong.

ASA question20 Jun 2005 12:44 GMT6
I just realized I shot a roll of 200 ASA film in a 35mm camera that was set
for 400 ASA (I had a roll of 400 ASA film in my hand, then I grabbed the
roll that was behind it thinking it might be a little fresher.
Unfortunately it was 200 ASA).
