Scanning Slides, lower quality than negs29 Jun 2005 22:58 GMT7
My Son has a Minolta Dual Scan, he is finding that the quality of slides is
lower than when he scans negatives. Any ideas as to how this problem might
be overcome?

Excuse if I've broken any unofficial guidelines here. I'm new.
I'm looking to get back into photography. I just want to idly snap at
anything that takes my fancy. I'd like the camera to have a zoom
sufficient to take pictures of wildlife up close or panorama's.

i am a graphic designer and just have recently started with photography.
i am attempting to take product photography of light fixtures for work.
i am placing the fixtures within a light tent and i have 3 lights set out
around the box to light the objet (top, left, right) 23watts ...

In film specs when the type of film says "135" is that the same as
"35mm"?  May sound pretty stupid to everyone out there, but I just

I shoot a roll of film, take it to the photo lab, the next day pick it
up and look at the photos, and this is often what I would see.

I have added portfolios to my website gallery.
A real portfolio is a number of photographs belonging together.
Choose "Gallery" and "Portfolios".

photos and allow friends and family to purchase copies ? ideally one that
when they purchase I receive print credits ?

When I first got my digital camera and used the internal memory I had no
problem emailing the pictures.  The internal memory was not enough so
inserted a memory card and took pictures on it.  Now I can't get the
pictures to come into my computer much less email them and that was the

Can someone suggest a software program, hopefully free, that is good
for viewing pics (maybe even some tools with it) on the computer. I am
using Irfanview right now, but was thinking there may be something
better.
