Camera came in, and I am ready to go!08 May 2005 17:22 GMT3
Well my Digital Rebel XT was delivered this evening.  I charged the
batteries, looked at the virgin manual sitting on the table, and started
playing.
This is going to be a of of fun!

Wanted: C-Clamp with Camera Mount08 May 2005 06:47 GMT3
Can anyone suggest an off-the-shelf C-Clamp with camera mount that I can
take places that tripods are not normally allowed?
I tried a Yahoo search, but couldn't seem to come up with anything
useful.  Maybe I didn't use the right search terms:
Canon Normal EF-S 60mm f/2.8 USM Macro Autofocus Lens08 May 2005 01:52 GMT1
Does anyone have any experience with this lens and can you recommend it?  I have
a Digital Rebel XP and am looking for a decent lens for indoor (small pets,
especially pet birds) and outdoor (plants/flowers and little critters) macro
photography.  If the lens can be used for more ...
Major Newbie looking for advice07 May 2005 21:37 GMT10
I have been lurking here for a while.  I just got a canon Digital Rebel
XT.  This is my first SLR (digital or otherwise)  It was actually given
to me in trade for some recording studio time.
I never plan on being a "professional photographer", but I would like to

Nikkor 70-300mm AF G lens06 May 2005 23:17 GMT1
I saw at best buy this lens for 179 - 10% discount for being an open item,
So I bought it right away just to have it and if I don't like it I can
return it in 30 days. Do you recommend it ?
Thanks
canon 70-200 f4 distortion06 May 2005 10:30 GMT3
I just got the Canon EF 70-200 F4 zoomlens and I'm a bit surprised by the
amount of pincushion (pc) distortion at 200 mm. I'm just basing this on
looking through the viewfinder of my Elan2E (EOS50E). All the reviews I've
read sofar mention that this lens has "very little distortion" ...

Why 350D in Europe and Digital Rebel XT in USA?06 May 2005 03:53 GMT11
Just wondering why Canon branded the exact same camera differently in Europe
and the USA?
Wouldn't it have made more sense to use the one name in all markets as is
the case with the EOS 20D etc?

My name is Erica Fettig, and I am in the process of developing a new site
that is a "virtual cafe." Along with offering gourmet coffees and loose leaf
teas in our "cafe," the site will essentially be a community of people who
would normally be found in a coffeehouse. The site ...
