Graduation pictures10 May 2005 23:04 GMT4
One of my favorite models came to me for some portraits in her graduation
robe (she is graduating with an MBA in a couple of weeks, and wanted
pictures to hand out to friends and family).  She and I were both very
pleased with the shoot, and here are 3 of the best shots:
E-6 Processing Labs10 May 2005 21:45 GMT3
Is there a quality difference in E-6 labs?  I had a good lab down the street
but they moved.  Now I am faced with the prospect of sending my processing
to Wolf Camera which is convenient or a professional lab that is pretty
inconvenient.
Uncurling rolled up panoramas10 May 2005 20:29 GMT3
I have several panoramas, some as long as 60" that have been
rolled up for many years.  How can I go about uncurling them?
I was thinking of placing it in a humid room until it could
relax a bit and then carefully unroll them.  If they seem to
Kodak Super 8mm movie help10 May 2005 17:28 GMT3
Last week, while visiting my mother in Connecticut, she gave me an old but
working Kodak super 8mm movie projector and all of the old films that go
back to when I was a baby.  there were close to 200 4 inch film reels.  She
also gave me a bag of older ones, ones my grandfather had ...
Dumbing down...10 May 2005 17:24 GMT33
My occasional reading of this and other photography newgroups leads me
to the conclusion that a whole lot of people haven't the foggiest idea
of what they are doing.  For example...
The inter-relationship of aperture and shutter speed.

Help with these closeups?10 May 2005 02:43 GMT40
I'd like general feedback on these photos:
http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/cygenmobile/album?.dir=/7b57.  I'm using an
Olympus C2100 digital camera with Cokin 125A red and yellow 665P filters.
I'm not sure what happened on P5070013.  It appears very blurry.  One thing
What is the future for slide film?09 May 2005 23:19 GMT10
I've been shooting slide film since the 1970s and have 9,100 slides.  Last
year I bought a $1,200 35mm camera.
You can imagine my shock when I went to my local camera store to buy a Kodak
Carousel tray and was told that Kodak stopped making projectors *and*
Copyright09 May 2005 21:53 GMT5
I took some pics with my DSL, with a promoters permission at a local
event (Private land).
I just got an email from some other promoter of the object (Truck) in
several of my pics asking me to remove them from my site.
[REQUEST] Photos of Los Angeles (for commercial use)09 May 2005 21:43 GMT1
I'm interested in photographies of Los Angeles (some specific zones of
the city, especially about metro/trams passages), to be used for
commercial stuff (I'll pay for the pics and the royalties), stock
photography style.

I have a vivatar flash with an aperture calculator dial on the side.  It
only goes up to ISO 400.  My camera is loaded with 800.  Figures.  I'm about
to do my very first professional event shoot.  Professional meaning someone
will pay me for the film, development and I eat for free. ...

Kodak Slide Carousels09 May 2005 05:13 GMT6
As mentioned in my post below, Kodak discontinued the manufacture of their
projectors and Carousel slide trays.
Given Kodak's precarious financial condition, I can understand discontinuing
the projectors but the slide trays?  There are millions of projectors out
Ruthless Editting09 May 2005 03:35 GMT15
Alan Browne posted "Snapshot Restraint" in rec.photo.digital.slr-systems
today and it got me thinking about how I have wanted to begin pulling the
less than great images off my web site (afraid it will leave my site empty
<g>).
