| Constructive criticism needed | 19 May 2005 20:53 GMT | 17 |
I have begun to take photography a little more seriously than just shooting some family pics around the house and vacations. I am experimenting with different exposures/shutter speeds/films. With that in mind, I did some 200 speed day photography yesterday and some 800

| release forms | 19 May 2005 20:34 GMT | 2 |
I was just wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction as to what I should have on any model release forms. I am going to be doing some shoots soon involving models/public/people in general, and I know that I should have them sign to say they consent to the pics and ...

| Experience w/Digital8 backwards compatibility (8mm/Hi8) problems? | 19 May 2005 09:22 GMT | 2 |
Because of their advertised backwards compatibility, it seemed that a Digital8 cam would be ideal for me due to a large stockpile of analog 8mm tapes I want to put on a h/d, edit and put on DVD, plus using the camcorder as an interface for capturing 8mm movie film, so I could kill 2 ...

| Cause of 8mm film jumpiness.. | 19 May 2005 07:11 GMT | 8 |
I've noticed that the image on my 8mm jumps a bit. So, as an experiment I tried playing/capturing some 8mm film in the Super 8 setting which lets you see the right side of the sprocket holes. I notice that while the image jumps a bit in places, the sprocket holes stay rock steady. I ...

OK, call me dumb, stupid, blind or what but I cannot find how to deactivate the built in speedlight while in manual mode. I am trying to use settings for effect and the camera always activates the speedlight in low light conditions. Can someone help, or am I beyond help.

Hi, I have a friend who's upgraded to digital a while back and then found his old rolls of slide. He's more than happy to give them to me, and I'm also just as happy to have them... and here's the BUT... but, it's film he used to roll his own and he's since forgot what the ISO ...

| Opinions please, constructive criticisms welcome | 18 May 2005 04:53 GMT | 11 |
Here is a link to 3 of my galleries http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/crxgibbon/my_photos , I have very few people around me that are interested in photography, so getting valued criticisms is tricky, if anyone would take a look and give me your views it would be

Hi, I am an amateur photographer and would like to become an active member of this group. I currently have a Canon A95 which isn't the greatest out there I know, but it was in my price range, and I am able to get some pretty nice shots with it. Does this group accept digital

| Cokin Filters | 17 May 2005 16:26 GMT | 5 |
Probably a bit of a noob question: I was wondering what people's thoughts are about the Cokin Filter system. It certainly looks to be very economical, particularly if you have multiple lenses (with different sized filter threads). Are there any other benifits

| Suggestions for consumer/prosumer cam to use as interface for 8mm film transfer? | 17 May 2005 15:35 GMT | 4 |
I've been experimenting with transfer of 8mm movie film to DVD and have been using a camcorder as a passive lens/interface with the computer. Results are pretty decent with the 8mm I've been using but it seems to lose a bit of clarity in the process.
