advice for indoor film31 May 2005 22:21 GMT4
I have recently been asked to take pictures of the speakers in a conference.
I have done it once last year and I did not like the outcome very much - you
can see it at :

Tips for newbies31 May 2005 21:52 GMT17
This is probably a big "duh" for everyone but the newbies, but I have to
share it with everyone.  Here is the best piece of advice anyone in this
group will give you.

Can anyone recommend any software for creating slideshows from digital
images, I've heard of Falcon Preview software which is around the £400
mark - any other good / user friendly software that people use ?

Wedding photography pricing31 May 2005 16:25 GMT47
I'm just curious about pricing on a holiday and what the general opinion is.
I met with a client that is getting married on New Years Eve.  At first I
thought I would charge a few hundred extra if they wanted me for a few
hours.   Turns out, they are going to need me for about 12 ...

Magnification Factors30 May 2005 16:44 GMT4
I'm not sure how to interpret magnification factors.  I'm looking into

Need sugestions (need them in a hurry)30 May 2005 05:02 GMT7
A friend of mine is headlining at the Punchline tonight and asked me if
I would take some pictures of him.  He completely understands I am
nothing but a friend with a nice camera, and is only hoping that he
might get one or two good shots for his web page. (www.scottyk.com)
photo dvd software30 May 2005 02:35 GMT3
Just wondering if anyone has ever heard of or used  ProShow Gold by
Photodex.  Its a photo slide show program... I'm going to download the trial
version... just curious if anyone has used it, or heard of it because I have
never heard of this company.  It also looks like you can ...
Best multi-purpose film30 May 2005 01:37 GMT10
Speed, brand, range.  For shots in daylight conditions, dusk and some
night photography.  Also, how does stepping down ISO's from, say, 800
to 100 effect the shots?
Nikon MB-D100 and D7029 May 2005 11:18 GMT5
Does anyone know if the MB-D100 is compatible with the Nikon D70?
Lens recommendations29 May 2005 11:15 GMT7
I am looking for a lens for enhanced landscapes/cityscapes (not
portraits).  I am using the stock 28-80mm AF Nikkor lens, and I need a
stronger focal length lens.  At any rate, a cursory bit of research at
bhphotovideo.com reveals a ton of options, some of which are included

interior photos28 May 2005 20:31 GMT9
A company here makes custom steel stove hoods and furniture, etc.  They're
looking for a photographer - enter ME. :)  They have their own photo
equipment that I'd use (canon digital SLR's).  No idea what I'd get paid,
but hey, who cares!? :)
