SLR Lenses02 Apr 2005 14:06 GMT5
I've read a number of reviews on SLR lenses and I'd like to better

an online guide, FAQ, tutorial etc. that could help a person understand the
technical in and outs of lenses?

Having seen an exhibition of photograms recently, I am keen to experiment,

etc. I am especially interested in trying colour photograms, by illuminating
a translucent subject obliquely, rather than merely ...

I have come to the conclusion that there are not a lot of photographers in
this newsgroup.  Only a few people who want to trash each other and their
opinions.  Who cares about the medium....it is the message that is conveyed
by the image.  My god folks, life is grand, life is ...

Old film guy salutes digital01 Apr 2005 20:40 GMT44
I have been using film since age 12 (that is many moons and dog generations
ago). I have lingering guilt about using digital almost exclusively,
attributing it to sheer laziness about having film processed and then

I'm off to the states in a couple of weeks and have decided to get a new
camera. Never having owned a dSLR before, I want something that is easy to

for photos in the summer.

It seems to be a very hot topic, generating hundreds of replies to
