I've read a number of reviews on SLR lenses and I'd like to better
understand some of the terms I read about and their significance.  Is there
an online guide, FAQ, tutorial etc. that could help a person understand the
technical in and outs of lenses?

Having seen an exhibition of photograms recently, I am keen to experiment,
and I wondered if anyone here has tried this and has any tips, do's & don'ts
etc. I am especially interested in trying colour photograms, by illuminating
a translucent subject obliquely, rather than merely ...

I have been using film since age 12 (that is many moons and dog generations
ago). I have lingering guilt about using digital almost exclusively,
attributing it to sheer laziness about having film processed and then
scanning the film. I also feel guitly because I have a closet ...

I'm off to the states in a couple of weeks and have decided to get a new
camera. Never having owned a dSLR before, I want something that is easy to
use but has the potential to expand on, when I come back and have more time
