Comparing digital photography and film16 Apr 2005 17:14 GMT4
Is there anyway one could compare the resolution
of a digital camera with normal film? For example
how good a digital camera should be in order to match
the resolution of a 400 ASA B/W 35mm film? I am assuming

Image w/o background15 Apr 2005 19:04 GMT5
As a new digital camera owner I find myself more attracted to photography
than thought possible.
I would like to make a photo of a person without the background so it can be
shown as a separate image.
Flash Meter15 Apr 2005 11:47 GMT4
Which is the most practical and economical Flash Meter that you know of ? I
need Aperture readings for my D70 when I use it with 2 strobes. I heard
something about gossen Digiflash but there is a more mechanical one out
there.
Digital test strip15 Apr 2005 08:47 GMT2
Is anybody aware of a program that I can use, possibly a photoshop
plug in, that will allow me to print several variations of a picture
so I can decide which one I like the best for final printing?
Something like Test Strip from Vivid Details would be great but they

Old lenses - Digital SLR?14 Apr 2005 21:00 GMT4
I have a Canon Digital Rebel and would like to utilize a couple of lenses
from my 35mm days.  I have a Vivitar 105mm f2.8 which has a removable Pentax
K mount adapter.  I also have another lens with the same situation
(removable mount adapter).

Anyone have a clue on what these are worth?  Everything is in mint
condition.  They've been in a camera case for the past fifteen years.

Photos on sunny days - overexposure?14 Apr 2005 14:23 GMT17
I have an Olympus C2100.  I usually take photos in manual mode.  On a bright
sunny day, I always have problems with overexposure.  I have these settings
for sunny days:
- Aperature @ F8.0
RAW Impressions...Hmm?14 Apr 2005 05:16 GMT4
I've been  playing around with RAW image files for some time now. I really
don't care for it. Yet. :)
I find myself second guessing the image color, WB, color cast etc..
I know they are uncompressed...I know I can work in 16 bit mode, post
Newbie question14 Apr 2005 01:21 GMT1
Hi.  Does anyone know of any good reference sites for how to use a handheld
lightmeter?  And more importantly how to interpret what it's saying into
setting my dSLR up for the shot (Canon EOS 300D).  Many thanks.
Lens Cloths14 Apr 2005 01:08 GMT4
I bought some single use lens cloths at Sam's Club, since they looked
like a bargain and looked convenient.  They are branded Zeiss and the
box claims they are good for camera lenses, especially "those with
Zeiss anti-reflective multi-layer coatings".  Any feedback on these?  I
