Because my HP deskjet w/HP cartridges prints beautiful pics, but unless
I keep them enclosed in an album, they fade in just a year or less -

and JPG)?
Also, is there a programme which will let you design various calendars
for printing including desktop and wall versions?

In recent years, I've noticed my prints aren't "sharp" anymore from
consumer or trade labs; roughly since processing has shifted to digital
processing gear.  (The effect looks like their print projector is
slightly out of focus.)  Has anyone else noticed this?
