Shooting the night sky with my Nikon CP5700, I am seeing bright specs that
appear to be stars, but changing pictures, I notice they're in the exact
same position everytime.  Is this noise, because it gets worse as I lengthen
the exposure.. even at ISO100 20 seconds, its quite ...

I quite fancy taking really close up photos of flowers, it worries me a
little but there we go. I have a canon 25-50 lens but I have read in mags

I looked at a few sites and they cost ??? or $$$ depending on your address - ...
CF cards and micro drive error disasters08 Feb 2005 02:13 GMT7
I recently had a disaster when the 2.2GB micro drive I had been using came
up with an error after the hundredth frame. A word of advice, if you are
doing a professional assignment with a digital camera, use a lot of small CF
cards, much like you would use film, that way when, (and ...

Tripod recommendation07 Feb 2005 15:06 GMT7
New to photography, and am looking for a decent tripod/head. Preferably
under $300, and no more than 6lbs. or so. I'll be using it with a D70, and
largest lens is Nikkor 300MM F/4. I've wasted time and money buying cheap
dept store junk. I need one that is sturdy enough to allow ...

Off-camera flash: I'm confused.06 Feb 2005 22:56 GMT3
I'm confused.
Buddy of mine loaned me an el cheapo flash and an optical trigger.  I set
the shutter speed, aperture, and white balance manually on my Digital Rebel.
I took several shots with only the on-camera flash.  Then, I took several
Sekonics L-558 How to06 Feb 2005 20:31 GMT4
Hello, I recently purchased a sekonics L-558 light meter in the hopes I
could improve my photography, or at least the number of proper exposures
under varied light conditions. I understand how to change the ISO, Apeture
priority and shutter priority, however I don't understand ...
